I do prefer "I don't care for that" for social purposes- I know many people who will get personally offended if someone says they don't like something, so it's just preparation for the future should he be dining at someone else's home. :) Sometimes he says, "I'm not really a (insert food here) fan", which is quite hilarious, so I let that one go. :)Miss Lindseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16379772577918303948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7748268353572701272.post-48171961712409469892013-05-14T13:28:23.806-07:002013-05-14T13:28:23.806-07:00I really like your rules. A lot of food that is rejected without trying is actually really yummy. I really like the "I don;t care for that" phrase as well. Goblin hasn't started on the yuk and icky words yet. At the moment he'll just say "I don't like that" which is fine but your phrase is much more socially acceptable. <br />Thanks for sharing this. Just be sure you're CPR certified, so you feel ok just in case something happens, but don't be afraid of a little gagging - my guy got a few things stuck at first and ended up spitting up a bit to get them out, but I remained calm and watched that it wasn't anything serious and he remained calm too and figured it out, and now he's got chewing down! :)Miss Lindseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16379772577918303948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7748268353572701272.post-65479771093823669472013-05-11T10:43:31.086-07:002013-05-11T10:43:31.086-07:00Thanks for this. He's a pretty good eater now, but there are some foods he's not all that into. My youngest is 4 months old and I've been thinking about when/how to introduce solids. I think I've decided against purees and I have been reading up on Baby-Led Weaning. I really think that it makes more sense and will allow him to have more control over his food and eating. I'm a bit nervous about it for some reason, but I think it will turn out great.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05933752275235540985noreply@blogger.com
